Level up your fusion partner dancing in this 3 hr class with Jesse Olson and his long-time dance partner from Port Townsend, WA, Sarah Peller.

So you’ve got the basics of partner dance down and are having fun, but want more? Or maybe you’ve plateaued and need some new stuff to get you excited again? This class is for you. We’ll focus on refining turns, learning details and nuances of a wide variety of hand connections and arm-movements, dynamic tone, and body leads. You’ll learn a lot of fine details for leading and following that make more things possible and everything smoother.

You don’t need to bring a dance partner, but we recommend you have a good handle on partner dance basics. If you’re unsure that you are ready for the class, contact us.

About the instructors

Sarah Peller has been dancing since she was old enough to thrash around in her mom’s office, while listening to Michael Jackson on the record player. She really fell in love with dance about 10 years ago after discovering Nia and Conscious Dance in Port Townsend, finding that movement is a deep and powerful medicine for the soul. Then, she fell head over heels in love for Fusion Partner Dancing and she has not stopped organizing, teaching, rallying, recruiting, and dreaming up more ways to share her love for partner dance. She teaches, DJs and organizes events at venues mostly in the PNW. She dabbles in Modern, Contact Improv, Ecstatic Dance, Bachata, Salsa, Kizomba, Lindy Hop, East Coast Swing, Balboa, Tango, Hip Hop, and West Coast Swing.

Jesse Olson has been partner dancing for 18 years, starting with latin dances and has been in love with fusion dancing for the past 7 years after being introduced by Wren LaFeet. Teaching and organizing many events over the years, Jesse has been instrumental in getting fusion dances off the ground in Port Townsend and Sebastopol. Jesse is a Grass Valley resident now and is a regular dancer and teaching at Foothills Fusion in Grass Valley.
